These are some assignments that I have done throughout my time at Southern New Hampshire University and Mountwest CTC using a mixture of Adobe Software including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. These are some of my favorite projects that I have designed. Enjoy! I studied for my Associates Degree 2020-2022 and then continued online for my Bachelors at Southern New Hampshire University from 2022-2024.
Billboard Advertisement
This was a billboard advertisement I designed and made on Adobe Illustrator focusing on the Jade Sisters who are musicians in New York. The goal was to promote advertisement and get a sense of how communication can work to grab people's attention and interest them into a night of music. The first was made in the beginning of 2023 and the bottom one was redesigned in February 2024.
MusEUm Advertisement
This was designed on Adobe InDesign, where we were given information about the current artists and somehow make a magazine advertisement showcasing info on the show and artists. I felt that a dark-themed tone went well with this, so I used brown for the titles and important info then black text about the artist's info. I do like how this turned out, I feel that the idea I envisioned for this executed well.
Clean The Beach Advertisement
This was designed on a mixture of Canva and Adobe Illustrator, where the initiative was to address that there would be a cleanup of the beach in Lagos, Nigeria. My professor then wanted us to get creative and play with our minds about how an advertisement should look and get the audience's attention. Recently for my portfolio class, I reworked this design and changed it to how I would have designed it. Better colors, font family, and the image used.
Cheese Tasting Event Flyers
I designed these in Photoshop and Illustrator, using the tools and text to help me be able to design what was required. I was given the provided necessities of the text, imagery, logos, etc. but it was my job to design two cheese posters for my classmates to choose between. My favorite is the red one, due to the background making the charcuterie board stand out the most. Along with the text being seen of what event is going on.
Scoop Shoppe Social Media ad
Designing this in Photoshop was a fun assignment I enjoyed creating. Using multiple tools along with playing with fonts and colors, I'm impressed with how the ad turned out. Later, I then turned this into an ad that flashed the logo on and off the page that lasted of a 5-10 second clip. My professor taught us this tool, which came in handy for future assignments.
Recipe Instructions
Designing this on InDesign was the first project I used within the software at Mountwest. It gave me the proper knowledge and experience of how aligning text works and how InDesign itself works. I enjoyed designing this menu due to how much text and wording it gave me to play with to make it look official and realistic.
Fresh Fare Farms Campaign
Flyer
Social Media Carousel
Email/Website
This was a campaign project I enjoyed working on and created through Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. The main message was to let the audience know about how signing up at Fresh Fare Farms would donate a box of fresh produce to a food bank in your community. The audience was targeted toward college students or workers who would rather pay a subscription service for fresh produce meals delivered right to your front door. This gave me the experience of how a campaign works through different formats in creating a message to the audience. I am proud of this campaign, it's one of my favorite things I have done while at SNHU.
Tech Crowd Brand style guide
I designed This brand style guide on Adobe Illustrator, creating charts and text and aligning it to fit within the specific document size. My professor then gave us an Excel spreadsheet to work with giving us apps and percentages to use. The only dislike I have about this is the percentages on the pie chart, I'd like to brighten up the yellow currently there. Recently in my portfolio class I reworked this project to how I would've liked to design it. The colors are used well enough to tell the difference of percentages. But I am happy with the way this turned out, it's currently one of my favorite works I've created while at SNHU.
Above & Beyond Movie Poster
This was made on Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, making a fake mockup for a movie poster. In my Photoshop class at Mountwest, we were given three titles with a brief description of what they were about. I chose Above & Beyond, based on the Pearl Harbor Attack. I am proud of this design showcasing the flag, soldiers standing together, and the fonts. It was a fan favorite after showcasing them in our design class.
Album Cover
At Mountwest, this was designed on Adobe Photoshop where I created a mockup of an album cover. At the time I was proud of the design I did, from fonts to shadows to the logo. It was one of my first projects at Mountwest and it was enjoyable to design and bring to life. When looking at it, it reminds me of an album from the 80s for some reason, but I cannot figure out what it reminds me of 4 years later.
PVH Advertisement
At Mountwest, this was made on Adobe Photoshop, creating mockups for digital, magazine, and billboard advertisements for Pleasant Valley Hospital (now Rivers Health) located in Point Pleasant, WV. This is a digital ad I made for a billboard, showcasing one of the Internal Medicine doctors. Green is their signature color, so including that throughout my designs was the main priority in these designs. The whole campaign dedicated to this project was for one of my finals in 2021 which included making flyers, digital, and billboards and it was one of my favorite projects I made while being a student at Mountwest.
